Blank Shot

You added a splash of color
And I don’t even know you
You make this canvas seem alive
With all your colors and hues
I thought I knew what I could live without
But here you are, a daisy sprout
In my head I know what is
But your writing shows me the differences
So if I could have this moment to show you who I am
Perhaps we could go to dinner, somewhere in Disney Land.
Although Mickey Mouse would want my autograph
And even though I’d make you laugh
I can’t help but feel that it all be for naught
Because you know what they say about guns with blank shots
