One More Tie

I’m afraid of the sunset

Afraid of the light

Afraid of what daytime will bring

When I wake from the night

What memories I’ll make

Like eating poison cake

Am I destined to fear?

The soul that is seered?

Cut from its family

As the wolves attack the deer

I am as they say

A man of the day

But I can’t help but help

Those who cause my whelps

Torn between

The true and false

Torn between

The love and loss

This poem is based off a story

That happened to a friend of mine

Thought you might want to hear it

One more time
